Purchasing

interpart's experienced purchasing team coordinates the procurement of a diverse range of parts from more than 350 suppliers across Europe and the Globe. Whether it is a simple O-ring or a complex sub-assembly, interpart has the expertise to source it and purchase it from wherever they identify that the best in the market is to be found. This experience ensures that interpart is able to provide its customers with the most competitive prices available, enabling them to compete more effectively in the marketplace and allowing them pass on the benefits of our expertise to their own customers.

Inventory Management

Operating a sophisticated inventory management system, interpart's planners and expediters ensure that our stock is attuned to demand, which guarantees that the seasonal variations in our patterns of business do not leave engineers without the parts they require, or homeowners without the heat that they vitally need. Ongoing investment in effective forecasting systems provides greater flexibility in improving stock turnover and keeping stock costs down. Backed by an ethos of continuous improvement, operational efficiency gains flow from the constant attention to effective inventory management that helps put interpart ahead. From the supplier, right through to the end user, interpart manages the supply along every link in the chain and our customers see the benefits from our investment in excellence at every level.

Logistics and Distribution

Parts are distributed directly from interpart's dedicated distribution centre near Preston. Spanning several acres, this facility handles a range of more than 20,000 parts; processing more than 3,000 stock movements a day in peak season, but with the capacity and flexibility to handle considerably more. One of the most efficient facilities of its kind in the UK, the distribution centre provides interpart with the competitive edge that gives our business one of the best delivery and availability figures within the industry.

Sales

From its dedicated call centre in Warwick, the interpart sales team efficiently and effectively handles calls from both the trade and householders alike. The experienced and well-trained team of sales agents ensure that our customers are able to select the right part, first time, every time, from amongst interpart's extensive range. interpart has recently invested in one of the most advanced parts identification systems available anywhere in the UK heating industry - covering more than 2,000 parts lists for over 200 heating products. It is this ability to correctly identify and satisfy our customers' needs, through investment in both our people and our processes, which allows us to provide the excellent customer service upon which interpart has built its reputation.
